- HATBORO, PA (January 27, 1993) Meyer Software of Hatboro, Pennsylvania today
- announced that Release 1.1 of their award-winning Macintosh presentation
- software On The Air now supports Apple's QuickTime format. Further, Apple
- itself has supported the new release by including On The Air information on its
- QuickTime 1.5 Compact Disk. The fully functional OTA 1.1 is available from
- Meyer Software as of January 1993.
-
- "One of [On The Air's] most useful features has always been the capability to
- either create a presentation entirely within the program's own Creation
- environment, or to bring in outside graphics and animate them. That's just how
- it works with QuickTime," explains customer service team leader Linda Nunez.
- "You can use On The Air as an engine to create QuickTime movies from scratch,
- or bring in existing movies to integrate with your On The Air presentation."
-
- "This release opens up QuickTime's potential to a whole new set of entry-level
- users," amplifies Robert Meyer, the program's creator. "People who don't have
- the time or money to spend learning an expensive animation program that's an
- overkill for their presentation needs -- teachers, salespeople, consultants.
- Release 1.1 lets these users quickly and easily take existing video and audio
- that has to stay in the Media Center or the home office and bring it into the
- classroom or out on the road as QuickTime clips in On The Air shows." Similar
- benefits are anticipated for presenters in many industries, wherever
- cost-effective multiple-location presentations are required.
-
- On The Air v1.1 is available from Meyer Software at $225 (quantity discounts
- available) and will run on any Macintosh II family computer using System 6.0.5
- or later.
